Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Receives 3C Certification In China

It seems like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 just got certified in China. A Samsung-branded smartphone with an SM-N9608 model number got certified by the 3C authority in China, and it seems like we’re looking at the Chinese version of the Galaxy Note 9 here, at least based on Samsung’s previous model numbers. In addition to the phone itself, the company’s CP-TA200 wireless charging pad got certified as well. The wireless pad’s charging adapter comes with 9V/1.67A, 5V/2A rating, which are considerably lower ratings compared to Samsung’s fast charging adapter, as expected.

Samsung had already scheduled the Galaxy Note 9 press conference, the company will announce its new flagship on August 9, and it will host its press conference at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, starting at 10AM EST. Samsung also teased the yellow-colored S Pen along with that announcement, which suggests that we may get some new colors of the Galaxy Note 9 as well. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been leaking for a while now, and needless to say, it will be the company’s most powerful smartphone to date, though it will be similarly as powerful as the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The Galaxy Note 9 will sport a larger display than both of those phones, some camera improvements are expected as well, though the device will probably ship with the same rear-facing camera sensors as the Galaxy S9 Plus. The Galaxy Note 9 will also arrive with an S Pen stylus, which will differentiate it from both the Galaxy S9 devices, and the rest of its competition, while some new S Pen-related features are expected as well.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be made out of metal and glass, and if the leaked renders are to be believed, the phone will sport two horizontally-aligned cameras, compared to a vertically aligned dual camera setup that is available on the Galaxy S9. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will arrive in both Snapdragon and Exynos variants, and we’re looking at the Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 chipsets here. The device will include at least 6GB of RAM, and a curved QHD+ Super AMOLED displays is also expected. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Samsung’s custom UI.
