Fortnite's first Summer Skirmish was a total disaster. But Epic games has learned a thing or two since last week, and this week's Summer Skirmish promises to be less laggy and more entertaining. Hopefully. Summer Skirmish will take place across two days with matches on July 20th (today) and the 21st.
You can watch the live-stream below, with rules, start-time and more information further down the page.
Week 2 Rules
This weekend's Summer Skirmish format has changed. Last week's was Duos. This week is High Score Wins. The player with the highest score after 10 Solo matches is named the winner. There's two ways to earn points: Victory Royales and Eliminations. A $1 million prize pool will be divided across 20 winners.
Here's how scoring works:
- Victory Royales: +5 Points
- Eliminations: +1 Point
- 20 or More Eliminations (per game): +10 Points and $10,000
This should help encourage faster, less cautious gameplay. Last week devolved into camping and stalemates. Too much was on the line and players didn't want to take too many risks. With Eliminations almost as valuable as Victory Royales we should have a much more entertaining competition on our hands.
