Fortnite fans are calling for a change to the X-4 Stormwing plane - FortniteINTEL

While a whole new biome and three new Points of Interest were added to Fortnite during the V7.00 update, the most talked about addition may be the game’s newest vehicle, the X-4 Stormwing.

Released as part of the huge Season 7 update, the X-4 Stormwing is a bi-plane that players can use to fly around the map, with space for a drive and two passengers who can sit on the wing.

The X-4 can be used to rotate around the map, as it’s speed and ability to gain height means as long as you can find one, no location on the island is off limits, giving you lots of options as you try to find the perfect spot from which to try and secure a Victory Royale.

The Stormwing also allows the pilot to fire bullets, meaning that players can shoot down enemy structures, take aim at players on the ground, or even take part in a mid-air dogfight against other X-4 pilots.

However, some Fortnite fights want to see Eiic Games make a change to the planes, as they feel in their current state, there is no punishment for crashing the planes due to bad driving.

Currently, if a pilot flies the plane directly into the ground, the plane doesn’t explode, and players don’t take any damage, meaning there is no incentive to ensure that you land the X-4 safely on the ground.

Fortnite pro player Nicholas ‘Zoof’ Zufan is calling for this to change, saying he thinks “there needs to be some risk when using one to rotate.”

Some have suggested that that there should be an explosion when the plane is destroyed, dealing 50 damage to anyone on board, while others have suggested that there should be no redeploy when the plane is destroyed, meaning people will fall to their death.
