Yoshi's Crafted World, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn Get Release Dates - IGN

March is starting to look great for Nintendo fans.

Nintendo has announced the release dates for Yoshi's Crafted World for the Nintendo Switch and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn on the Nintendo 3DS.

Yoshi's Crafted World will launch on Switch on March 29, 2019, and will see Yoshi exploring a world that is created from such items as boxes and paper cups.

Yoshi will be able to switch the perspective of each stage and allow players to play stages in reverse, which will help find all the secrets and Poochy-Pups (!) hidden throughout each level.

Yoshi's Crafted World will also allow Yoshi to bring along a friend with full two-player co-op when the game launches this March.

Nintendo also revealed that Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn for the 3DS, an enhanced version of the 2010's Kirby's Epic Yarn for the Wii, will be released on March 8, 2019.

Travel back to the world made of yarn and cloth to "unravel enemies, unzip secret passageways and transform into powerful vehicles."

The 3DS version will include every stage from the original, including new features like "Ravel Abilities that power up Kirby in fun ways, new mini-games featuring familiar faces King Dedede and Meta Knight, new furniture to personalize and decorate Kirby’s Pad, and a new Devilish mode that adds an extra layer of challenge to each stage."

Some of these Ravel Abilities include turning Kirby into a giant yarn ball and a wire sword to attack enemies, as well as the Nylon ability, which generates wind to give Kirby extra height when jumping.

When Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn launches in March, it will also support compatible Kirby series amiibo figures that will give Kirby hats and abilities based on which figure is used.

In our review of Kirby's Epic Yarn for the Wii, we said that it is "an amazing looking game that embraces traditional platforming designs in fresh new ways."
