If you've been visiting GameSpot the past couple weeks, there's a good chance that you know E3 2019 is fast approaching. Functioning as the games industry's Super Bowl, there's a lot of excitement brewing for what's ahead. After all, the show is literally where the biggest publishers and dozens of more developers reveal the latest games they've been working on.
We get glimpses of exciting upcoming games, including those that have been quietly brewing under the radar as we patiently await their impending release--games like Cyberpunk 2077, Halo Infinite, Borderlands 3, and more. And to make the festivities all the more exciting, this year's show might be when we finally hear about new cutting edge technology, such as Microsoft's Scarlett--the company's new Xbox console that's in development. Google Stadia will be getting new details for sure, as Google has announced the first-ever Stadia Connect event for Thursday, June 6. It will be sharing some key details about the cloud streaming service, including price, release date, and the games that will be available--perhaps including some of the big names you'll find below.
Even more games are set to be detailed before E3 begins. There's a lot happening during pre-E3 week, including a Nintendo Direct for Pokemon Sword and Shield and a reveal of Destiny 2's "next chapter," which may involve a return to the moon, if dataminers are correct. As always, things are being leaked and rumored, one of the biggest of which is Watch Dogs Legion.
There are heaps of promising new games worth knowing about in the lead up to the show, so that's why we've compiled all the biggest ones right here. Included below are games that are either confirmed to be at the show or are--based our infallible intuition--ones that we have a sneaking suspicion may make an appearance based on the list of companies on the official E3 homepage.
