Glitch in Bethesda Support System Accidentally Gives Users Access to Other Customer Info - MMORPG.com

In the latest in a series of blunders, it appears that a glitch in the Bethesda Support System has led to customer information being leaked to other users. According to Kotaku, users were given access "to parts of Bethesda's support system, including the ability to open and close tickets, as well as check out customer's personal information" which includes credit card information. The issue has since been resolved according to a Bethesda representative.

The information leak seems to be mostly confined to the information of those requesting the canvas bag that was left out of the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition. Users requesting the replacement of the nylon bag were asked to submit a ticket to Bethesda support with name, address, phone number and the credit card information they used to purchase the special edition of Fallout 76.

I went on the support website today, to update a ticket of mine, and surprisingly (or not...) I ended up being able to see all sorts of tickets, with people putting their personnal informations in them, like receipt screenshots, names, addresses and so on.

How long the issue was present and / or how much data was accessed by users remains unknown. We'll be keeping an eye on the situation.
