A photo of spilled corn kernels went viral online for fitting perfectly into a train track.

What happened: The photo shows the results of a train spilling corn kernels across railroad tracks, according to Fox News.

  • The spilled corn looks like a yellow brick road, which stretches for more than one-third of a mile.
  • The kernels fit perfectly between the tracks.
  • Mike Parker shared the photo on Twitter. It went viral with 321 retweets and 1,700 likes.
  • Alex Forrest shared the photo, too. His post received 15,000 retweets and 109,000 likes.

Is it real?: There were some questions about the validity of the photo. Local media confirmed the photo was real.

  • Local resident Gary Bates said he expected birds to eat the corn once the weather gets warmer, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
  • Bates: “There are deer and raccoon in the area but they’re hunkered down, is my guess. They didn’t get the email.”
  • Bates: “I’ve never seen the track completely covered in corn.”
